Personal data we collect and why we use it
Subscribing: If you sign up to receive our weekly email e-zine, The Thread, you will need to provide a name and a valid email address. When subscribing to The Thread, you will also have the option to be notified by email each time we publish a new feature on homerelish.com. We promise that we will never share your email address with third parties unless you have explicitly agreed or we are required to do so by law. You may unsubscribe from Home Relish-related emails at any time by using the ‘unsubscribe’ link provided at the foot of any email we send or by getting in touch using firstname.lastname@example.org. Subscription data is processed and securely stored by Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group, LLC) in accordance with GDPR policies.
Comments: When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, e.g. email address, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. If you leave a comment on our site you may opt to save your name, email address and website details in cookies on your device: these are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year. All data relating to comments is stored securely in the WordPress databases on the servers hosting the Home Relish website. If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
Site operation: When you visit the Home Relish website, certain information is logged by our server including: the type of browser you use, access times, pages viewed, and your IP address. This information is required to allow normal website interaction and functionality. Server logs are kept for an appropriate amount of time for the purpose of fraud detection and prevention.

You are at any time entitled to receive information of your personal data held and processed by us, with certain regulatory exceptions. You also have the right to object to the collection and further processing of your personal data. Furthermore, you have the right to have your personal data rectified, erased or blocked. Please contact use using email@example.com should you wish to discuss any of these matters.
You may, at any time, withdraw your consent and we will, accordingly, cease processing of your personal data. Should you wish to withdraw consent, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
